Ashworth Hollow Sanatorium opened in 1908 as a tuberculosis facility, was expanded in 1931, converted to a psychiatric annex in 1952, and closed permanently in 1974. No complete architectural record of the building has ever been published. Our goal is to fix that, using blueprints recovered from the county archive and a combination of drone photogrammetry and manual 3D modeling.
Digitize every recovered blueprint and produce a navigable 3D model of the full building, floor by floor.

We are working from four separate blueprint sets spanning 1908 to 1952, including the 1931 expansion survey. Most of them agree with each other once you account for renovation dates. The 1931 set is the exception — there's a section of it that doesn't line up with anything else we have, and we haven't been able to figure out why. More on this once we’ve
